Dr. Mahesh Patel is a results-driven healthcare management leader with 18+ years of experience across hospital operations, quality systems, regulatory compliance, and performance management in India, the UAE, and Qatar.
Holding a Master’s in Hospital Management (MHA) from Apollo Institute of Hospital Administration and a background in clinical, Dr. Patel brings a strong blend of clinical insight and operational leadership. He previously served with Aster DM Healthcare, Qatar, where for over eight years he led hospital operations, facility licensing, accreditation, and operational excellence initiatives in Doha. Dr. Patel has also held senior leadership roles with Apollo Hospitals (India), leading JCI and NABH accreditations, quality improvement programs, patient safety frameworks, and large-scale clinical and non-clinical operations.
An active contributor to healthcare thought leadership, he has published book “Medical Tourism in Developing Countries – A Contemporary Approach” (Springer Nature, 2024) and a frequent academic and policy contributor. His work reflects a strong commitment to patient-centred care, quality governance, and sustainable healthcare performance.
